Before you email
- Update the extension to the latest version from the Chrome Web Store.
- Revoke and reconnect Gmail if sign-in fails: Google Account permissions → remove InboxSweep → reconnect in the extension.
- Check license status in the extension pricing screen → "Refresh license status".
Installation
| Issue | What to try |

| Extension won't install | Use Chrome (or Chromium). Enable "Developer mode" only for local dev builds; production installs come from the Chrome Web Store. |
| "Connect Gmail" fails | Ensure `WXT_GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID` / OAuth client is configured for your extension ID (dev builds). Production uses the published OAuth client. |
| Permission screen scary | InboxSweep needs `gmail.modify` to scan metadata and apply actions you confirm. We don't upload mailbox content to our servers. |
License & billing
| Issue | What to try |

| No license key after purchase | Check spam. Lemon Squeezy sends the key by email. View your order on the Lemon Squeezy receipt link. |
| Key won't activate | Paste the full key in the extension. Use "Refresh license status". Email us with your order ID. |
| Wrong tier (Personal vs Pro) | Personal = 1 Gmail account. Pro = unlimited accounts. Email us if checkout mapped to the wrong variant. |

Using InboxSweep
| Issue | What to try |
|---|---|
| Scan slow or stalls | Large mailboxes take time. Keep the dashboard tab open. Retry after a few minutes. |
| Sender missing | Protected senders are excluded. Some senders need more messages before grouping is useful. |
| Afraid to delete | v1 moves bulk cleanup to Trash, not permanent delete. Use the dry-run preview. Star important mail in Gmail first. |
| Unsubscribe link didn't work | Some senders block one-click unsubscribe. Open the sender manually. |
