Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SocialCopilot Chrome extension and the lusoft.dev/products/socialcopilot website (together, the "Service"), operated by LuSoft ("we", "us", "our"). By installing or using the extension, you agree to these Terms.
What SocialCopilot is
SocialCopilot is a local-first Chrome workspace for coordinating social communication workflows across Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, and Reddit. Its core capabilities are:
- •A workspace dashboard for managing active sequences, queued messages, and replies awaiting attention.
- •Audiences: organise contacts you have imported, synced from existing connections, or sourced from supported discovery surfaces.
- •Templates: a library of reply and message templates with placeholder variables and content variations.
- •Sequences: multi-step message workflows with cooldowns, daily caps, send windows, and automatic pause-on-reply.
- •Reply detection: monitors your inboxes so a sequence pauses when a contact has replied.
- •Pacing & account-health tooling: conservative defaults, pre-flight checks, and rate-limit awareness aligned to each platform's published limits.
- •Optional BYOK draft-assist: use your own AI provider key to help draft messages. You review and approve every send. SocialCopilot does not autonomously send AI-generated content.
SocialCopilot is operator-controlled and human-in-the-loop — every send is initiated, scheduled, or approved by you. SocialCopilot does not run headless bots and does not operate outside your active, authenticated browser session.
License
When you install SocialCopilot, LuSoft grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the extension for the purposes described in Section 1, in accordance with these Terms and applicable platform terms.
You may not:
- •Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code.
- •Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the extension or any part of it.
- •Use the extension on behalf of clients without a separate written agreement with us.
- •Bypass, disable, or interfere with rate-limit, pre-flight, or account-health safeguards.
Acceptable Use Policy
The following uses are prohibited and will result in immediate termination of your license without refund.
No spam, harassment, fraud, or illegal content
You may not use SocialCopilot to send spam (as defined by applicable anti-spam law), harass or threaten anyone, send hateful or sexually explicit unsolicited content, distribute phishing or malware, or engage in illegal activity in your or the recipient's jurisdiction.
Lawful basis for communication
You must have a lawful basis for every message. Depending on jurisdiction, this means at least one of:
- •Prior, demonstrable consent to receive your communications (opt-in).
- •The recipient is in your existing customer, client, supplier, or professional network.
- •A first-degree connection where mutual connection is required (e.g. LinkedIn "1st"), and the message is consistent with why you connected.
- •The recipient has publicly invited the type of communication you are sending.
- •Another lawful basis recognised under applicable law (e.g. legitimate interest under GDPR, properly weighed and documented).
In most EU jurisdictions, unsolicited commercial communication via electronic messaging without prior consent is prohibited. SocialCopilot may be used in the EU for recipients with a valid lawful basis, but may not be used to send unsolicited commercial messages without consent.
Compliance with platform terms
You are responsible for compliance with each platform you connect to. SocialCopilot ships with conservative defaults aligned to published rate limits. You may not disable safeguards or circumvent platform limits. You accept that platforms may restrict or terminate your account at their discretion — LuSoft is not responsible for those decisions.
No scraping or data collection in violation of platform terms
SocialCopilot includes audience discovery features (e.g. importing contacts who publicly engaged with a post, hashtag, or group). Use them only for lawful, non-spam purposes, within platform limits, and for contacts you will approach with a lawful basis under §3.2. You may not use discovery surfaces for bulk extraction beyond what platform terms allow, nor to assemble datasets for resale.
No use against vulnerable populations or for high-harm verticals
You may not use SocialCopilot for MLM recruitment outside lawful disclosed contexts, unlicensed investment/medical claims, romance-scam patterns, impersonation, or commercial targeting of minors or other vulnerable populations.
No abuse of automation tooling
You may not operate multiple accounts to circumvent safeguards, use stolen credentials, or modify the extension to remove pacing, pre-flight checks, or account-health features.
Account & subscription
Sign-in
You sign in via Google (Firebase Authentication). You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure.
Plans
- •Free — limited features, summarised on the pricing page.
- •Pro Monthly / Pro Annual — recurring subscription, billed by Stripe.
- •Pro Lifetime — one-time purchase, billed by Stripe.
Plan limits may change with at least 30 days' notice.
Billing
Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (or its regional entity) on behalf of LuSoft. If you purchased through Polar.sh, Polar is Merchant of Record and Polar's checkout buyer terms apply: https://polar.sh/legal/checkout-buyer-terms. Sales tax / VAT is calculated by Stripe Tax or Polar where applicable.
Cancellation
Cancel recurring Pro via the Stripe customer portal (receipt email or in-extension Account Settings). Cancellation stops future charges; Pro access continues until period end.
Termination by us
We may suspend or terminate access without refund for breach of these Terms — particularly §3.1–3.6. We normally warn first for minor issues. Severe or repeated breaches (spam, fraud, harassment, bulk scraping, removing safeguards) may result in immediate termination and platform reports where appropriate.
Effect of platform restrictions
Restrictions or suspensions imposed by a social platform do not entitle you to a refund beyond the standard refund policy.
Disclaimers
"As is"
SocialCopilot is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Platform risk
Platforms may change interfaces, rate limits, or terms at any time, affecting functionality. Your use of any platform is subject to that platform's own terms.
No affiliation
SocialCopilot is not affiliated with Meta, X Corp., LinkedIn, Reddit, or any other social platform.
No professional advice
SocialCopilot does not provide legal, marketing, or compliance advice.
Limitation of liability
LuSoft's total liability is limited to amounts paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater. LuSoft is not liable for indirect damages including lost business, platform account restrictions, regulatory penalties, or reputational harm. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Indemnity
You indemnify LuSoft against claims arising from your breach of these Terms, violation of law (including anti-spam law), violation of platform terms, or third-party complaints about communications you sent using SocialCopilot.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Pro subscribers receive email notice at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of France (mandatory consumer protections of your residence remain). EU consumers may use https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
